I also went to Calcutta. (Calcutta.) Calcutta. Because a family invited me. When I was walking in the Himalayas, in the Gangotri area. (Yes.) On the way to the Gangotri, there was a family on the horses, opulent people and they saw me just walking alone. And then they saw me walking. I didn’t notice anybody else. And later, they talked to me, and they said their son wants to marry me.
And then therefore, I said, “No, sorry, I’m still married. But also I did not come to India to marry.” The son was very romantic. He came and told me, “We observed You walking, like a fairy,” or whatever. And then he was thinking, “We want to put You also on the horse’s back, but I thought never mind, we don’t want to trouble You.” They have been observing me all the way. It’s a long way from the plane to Gangotri. I didn’t know they were observing me. Otherwise, I would have behave a little different, put on makeup or anything like that. Nothing. I didn’t have even if I wanted to. I only had two Punjabi clothes. So, the two pairs, that’s it. And a pullover, and tennis shoes, the sport shoes. Nothing else. And a sleeping bag, of course. And some utensils for drinking and a plate for making chapati or to eat. That’s it. Too heavy to carry everything. So, I cannot. The more I go higher, the less I… (Less weight.) The more I have to give away.
So I’ve been to Calcutta. Very nice family. My God. The Indian people, they’re extremely friendly. Not because of their son, but the mother was not jealous or anything. She is the one who told me, “My son would like to marry You.” And she was the one who invited me to her house. After I said I’m married. I’m still here. I’m just looking for God, I’m not looking for a husband. I’m still married, separated but not divorced. And even then, I said, “I’m just looking for God, not for a husband. But I thank you very much and thank your son.” And she said, “OK, never mind. You come visit us.” So nice, even already no promise, and still invited me to her house.
And she was very humble. She’s a doctor, medical doctor. But she sat on the floor and chopped, chopped the vegetables and made chapati for me. And the husband was a lawyer and that son who was supposed to be the future husband, was a lawyer-to-be also. He was studying, some years already. Very kind people. I bet he felt very heartbroken when I refused. But I was still married, and I wasn’t interested. Otherwise, he’s a very good-looking boy, very young and very gentle, very well-behaved, and talking in a very good way. Good English, all of them. All the family spoke excellent English, not with Indian accent, nothing. Spoke very, very good English.
