Children’s education in developing countries receives support.

The United States-headquartered, Global Partnership for Education, dedicated to delivering educational opportunities for disadvantaged youngsters, has donated US$8.8 million to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to help governments in 87 developing countries promote access to learning for students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Initiatives include providing children with vital information on safety practices such as hand washing, preparing alternative study programs, and making available mental health counseling, as well as encouraging talking about the disease in ways other than stereotyping. UNICEF will also provide US$4 million to extend the initiative to an additional 58 countries. Our sincere appreciation, Global Partnership for Education and UNICEF, for this important endeavor. May our precious children throughout the world have learning opportunities that expand their happiness and improve communities, in Divine blessings.

World Bank supports improvements to Dhaka, Bangladesh’s sanitation services.

The World Bank has committed US$170 million for the Dhaka Sanitation Improvement Project, which will benefit approximately 1.5 million people. Focus will be on providing waste-water treatment facility upgrades and establishing a new sewage treatment plant with a daily capacity of handling 150 million liters of domestic water, as well as providing sewer connections to 50,000 households. In addition, it will enhance the quality of life for people living in disadvantaged neighborhoods by installing communal septic tanks and upgrading toilets. Through these measures, water quality in streams and rivers will improve and inland flooding will be decreased. The project will be co-financed by the government of Bangladesh, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank as well as the World Bank’s International Development Association. Bangladesh is a Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection and Environmental Protection recipient. Many thanks, World Bank, Bangladesh and other supporters. May the warm Bangladeshi citizens thrive evermore, in Heaven’s grace.

Tina the Green-headed tanager: Good day, inquisitive viewers, it’s Tina the Green-headed Tanager! I’m a loving vegan, and I hope you are too! A shared family calendar devoted to family members’ activities and responsibilities will make it easier for everyone to check on their busy schedules. Pictures can also be used for children learning how to read. You can also label school activities on certain days, for instance “gym day” and “music lessons,” that call for your child to bring in additional items to school like gym shoes and instruments. Much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Thank you for watching. And now for the weather around the world.

New York State, United States embraces green energy.

The Governor of New York State, the Honorable Andrew Cuomo, announced the launching of 21 solar, wind and energy storage projects across upstate New York, with a total capacity of 1,278 megawatts. They are expected to produce more than 2.5 million megawatt-hours of clean energy annually, sufficient to power over 350,000 homes. Furthermore, carbon emissions will be decreased by more than 1.3 million metric tons per year. This endeavor helps New York move forward on its goal of having 70% of the state’s electricity from sustainable sources by 2030, and a 100% carbon-free electricity sector by 2040. The State will invest US$1 billion in the projects, which will also receive more than US$2.5 billion from private investments, and create more than 2,000 jobs. Congratulations, the Honorable Andrew Cuomo and New York State! In God’s abundance, may you quickly achieve these great mandates as we embrace a green vegan planet!

Kids’ heartfelt plea for the planet on Britain’s Got Talent.

Children’s choir, SOS From the Kids, on the auditions edition of Britain’s Got Talent, moved the audience and judges to tears with their poignant song about the climate crisis. Aged between four and 16, the talented youngsters voiced their concerns, asking grown-ups to take note and “stop hurting our planet.” Kids Choir: Please change the story, we are the parts, this beautiful Earth cannot be lost. Stop hurting our planet, like you don’t care. There’s only one world, for us to share. Host: Written in 2019 by the choir’s co-founder Sim Macaulay with his mother Dorry, the song “SOS from the Kids” has been performed at climate rallies and even caught the attention of renowned naturalist Sir David Attenborough, who wrote them a note saying: “Thank you for all you are doing to help tackle the problem.” God bless you, SOS From the Kids, Sim and Dorry Macaulay, and all involved for making a stand for our precious world. In Heaven’s wisdom, may all humanity heed the call and step up to save our planetary home through conscientious, moral choices with respect to all beings and Mother Nature. Supreme Master Ching Hai:“Lovingly present the Shining World Hero Award to SOS From the Kids, and US$10,000 in humble support of your noble and sincere efforts, with all love, heartfelt gratitude, best wishes and high praises. May Heavens forever watch over and protect you, in Divine benevolence.”

Qatari philanthropist provides the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) with its largest individual donation.

His Excellency Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Bin Thani Al-Thani contributed more than US$43 million to UNHCR to be used to support refugees, displaced people and host communities in Bangladesh, Chad, Lebanon and Yemen. The funding will cover four major initiatives, including cash grants to 600,000 internally displaced people, vulnerable host community members and returnees in Yemen, and monthly cash aid to 143,000 Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Other projects include improving living conditions for 84,000 Rohingya refugees and members of the host communities in Bangladesh’s Cox’s Bazar settlements and supporting healthcare, education and shelter for 330,000 Sudanese refugees in Chad. Our sincere appreciation and prayers, Your Excellency Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Bin Thani Al-Thani! In Allah’s elevating grace, may your generosity and compassion set forth an everlasting model for our world!

Coming up, German ingredient supply company introduces vegan sausage recipe. We’ll take a moment to read a meaningful poem and savor its gift of truth and beauty. More comforting news coming up on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Heart-warming News for a Joyful World.

International plant-based ingredients supplier develops vegan sausage recipe.

German-based Loryma has developed a vegan bratwurst sausage recipe that uses the company’s wheat proteins and binding ingredients, as well as a plant-based sausage casing – a thin edible covering – supplied by Spain-headquartered manufacturer Viscofan. The recipe can be used by Loryma’s customers to create their own sausages, or modified to produce other items. Loryma notes that their wheat protein ingredients are good for the environment as the plants absorb large amounts of CO2 while growing, and are locally sourced while achieving a 99% raw material utilization. Way to go, Loryma, on your vegan sausage recipe that will help food producers supply delicious and environmentally friendly food. May your endeavor help to rapidly expand the manufacturing of vegan protein products as all people move towards a plant-based lifestyle, in the Heart of the Divine.

Rodents help to save lives with extraordinary olfactory abilities.

Since 2000, Belgian non-governmental organization, Anti-Personnel Landmines Removal Product Development (APOPO), has been training southern giant pouch rats from its headquarters in Tanzania to detect land mines. Dubbed the HeroRATs, the trained “super-sniffers” can assess 200 square meters of a minefield in twenty minutes, while humans with metal detectors would need between one to four days. To date, the friendly and intelligent HeroRATs, who happily provide their assistance for food rewards, have sniffed out over 107,000 landmines and unexploded ordnances in countries including Angola, Cambodia, Colombia, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zimbabwe, thus making the land safe for nearly a million people and opening it up for productive use. Additionally, the life-saving rodents are found to improve tuberculosis detection rates by up to 40%. Many thanks, APOPO, and big hugs for our super HeroRATs. In Celestial splendor, may we always be grateful for the many amazing talents of our animal friends that help us in countless ways.

It’s now time for some light-hearted humor with the joke of the day entitled “Helpful Friend.”

“I think the blinker signal on my car is broken. Could you please stand behind the car? When I turn it on, tell me if the blinker’s working.”

“All right, sure!”

“Is it working?”

“Yes!... No! Yes! No! Yes! No…”
