Just like us humans also give birth to babies, very painful. Understand? Yes. But still we like doing it. So, maybe the basil likes it. You ask him if he likes you to help you make three, four more babies, then, (Okay.) if he’s okay or she’s okay, then you cut. If not, you have to apologize profusely and prepare her before you cut, so that at least maybe she’ll withdraw the consciousness from that twig. And maybe less painful, or not painful, okay? Otherwise, just take the leaves. Nip, nip, nip. Okay? But even if the plants or the trees feel hurt, when they offer these fruits to humans to consume, they do get benefit. They do have spiritual merit. Understand? From Heaven. But I would prefer to just bless them without hurting them. So I just earn a lot, a lot, a lot of spiritual money and just give. Instead of give and take. I, personally. But you do what you do, okay? Even if you have to eat the plants, it’s just still less than animals, less than eating animals. They have less consciousness.
(And then Master, what about flowers?) Flowers, don’t cut them. That’s why I told them I don’t like anymore cut flowers. Just for my personal stuff, when I go out to talk, people make a lot of flowers. I said, “Just put the potted flowers and then you can still plant it later.” You see, if… just for ourselves, okay? Because if we tell people all this, it’s too extensive, you know? They hardly can even eat vegetarian already and if you tell them, “Don’t touch the tree. Don’t touch the plant!” They think we’re cuckoo.
(Master, You mentioned the dog’s love for 24 hours, 7 days a week. If animals bless us, do they lose their merits?) The animals bless you, they get merits? (If animals bless us, do animals lose their merits?) They do, they do also. I mean, but they don’t ask for that. Anybody loves anybody, is elevating himself, including dogs or any animals. This is the nature of love. Because love elevates you. Even if you love somebody else unconditionally, all the time, it elevates your consciousness, also. When you love, you’re happy. And your soul is happy, blooming, your spirit is high. Your level has gone up.
