In today’s news, Japan renders food assistance to Ugandan children in need, artificial intelligence algorithm identifies COVID-19 cases by screening recorded coughs, study finds industrial fishing materially increases carbon emissions, China sets milestones in electric transportation sector, United Kingdom invests in long-term housing for homeless, Chilean company introduces new plant-based milks in United States, and Greece passes new animal protection law.

Japan supports emergency nutrition aid for mothers and young children in Uganda.

Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, has donated US$600,000 to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in response to life-endangering malnutrition rates in the Karamoja region’s Moroto and Napak districts. As part of Japan’s extended Emergency Grant Aid to Uganda, the funding will help the WFP provide 244 metric tons of enriched foods to 26,000 children under five, and expecting and new mothers for at least three months. In the last five years, Japan has been one of the most generous supporting countries to the WFP in Uganda, with a total contribution of US$15.5 million. Thank you, Japan and the World Food Programme, for your continued assistance to Ugandans in need. May Uganda’s vulnerable soon greet brighter tomorrows, in Divine mercy.

Artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm quickly screens for COVID-19.

Researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), United States, have developed an AI-based algorithm that can identify a COVID-19-infected person by their cough. From a 70,000 forced-cough sample recording pool, 4,000 were randomly selected, including 2,500 from coronavirus positive individuals, to train an AI model. In testing, the model accurately identified 98.5% of coughs from symptomatic persons with a COVID-19 diagnosis and 100% of asymptomatics who had tested coronavirus positive. Although the human ear cannot discern the differences in coughs produced by asymptomatics, the new AI technology detects changes caused by the virus in biomarkers relating to vocal cord strength, muscular degradation and other areas. The MIT team is now working to develop a free pre-screening app. Bravo, MIT scientists! Your research offers a promising technology to manage the pandemic better, and may it help restore blessed normalcy to our lives, in Heaven’s grace.

Up next, study finds fishing industry responsible for sizable carbon releases. We’ll just give thanks to comic book writers who create and develop characters, stories, and plots for comic books. Please stay for more benefiting news on Supreme Master Television.

Good day, compassionate friends! I’m Uku the vegan Pacu, and I turn heads since I turned vegan. You should too, then we’d be a good pair! Baking soda can serve many purposes in your household, including baking and doing laundry. It contains natural deodorizing, softening and brightening properties. You can get brighter and cleaner clothes with the following method. Start by putting your usual amount of laundry detergent for a load of clothes and then adding 120-240 milliliters (1/2-1 cup) of baking soda to the wash after it has filled with water. Then run your cycle like normal. Thank you for your attention and lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Now, the worldwide weather.

Industrial fishing causes substantial carbon emissions.

A University of Montpellier, France-led study has calculated that fishing has released at least 730 million metric tons of CO2 into the atmosphere since 1950, or 25% more than previous industry estimates. These releases could have been avoided if the fish had been left in the sea. After dying, a fish’s body normally sinks to the ocean depths, with its carbon sequestered for potentially millions of years. Carbon in the bodies of caught fish eventually enters the atmosphere as carbon dioxide, with larger fish like tuna or mackerel being composed of 10-15% carbon. Additionally, fishing boats generate large amounts of greenhouse gases by burning fossil fuels. Our gratitude, University of Montpellier scientists and others, for this vital information showing how fishing severely damages the Earth. May we immediately halt this extremely harmful activity to preserve precious marine lives and our planetary home, in God’s love.

China’s electric transportation development accelerates.

China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment has announced that through the promoting of clean transport as part of China’s 13th Five-Year Plan, spanning 2016 to 2020, 60% of the conventionally- powered buses in China have been replaced with electric buses. By contrast, only 20% of the country’s buses were electric in 2015. During September 2020, passenger New Energy Vehicle (NEV) sales, which include any vehicle partially or fully powered by electricity or fuel cells, reached 138,000 units, a 67.7% increase over the number sold during the same period in 2019. To further support the nation’s NEV sector, China’s chief administrative authority, or the State Council, has authorized a plan to advance essential technologies, develop infrastructure such as charging points, and expand international ties in the NEV arena. The Chinese government is a Shining World Leadership Award for Wise Governance recipient and a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Wildlife-Protection and Compassionate Protection laureate. Great job, China, for implementing these important eco-measures to decrease greenhouse gas emissions. May your citizens enjoy increasingly cleaner air and greener lifestyles, in Celestial guidance.

Britain invests in homeless housing.

The United Kingdom government, a Shining World Wise Leadership Award and Shining World Leadership Awards for Animal Protection and Kindness laureate, will invest £150 million into 3,300-plus long-term homes in England for people sleeping rough or at risk of homelessness. The project is to further help the 29,000 individuals that are already being supported with temporary accommodation, to move into more stable homes by March 2021. So far, 276 action plans have been approved, with 38 in the capital city of London, which will provide 904 new homes. In councils outside the capital, 238 projects are moving into the next development phase to provide 2,430 newly-built houses. Thank you, United Kingdom, for your investment in protecting your citizens and providing them with a comfortable place to call home. We pray that their lives will soon flourish in the loving embrace of God.

Up next on Noteworthy News, Chilean company introduces new plant-based milks in the US. We are going to take some time to thank God for the gift of human life, with all its experiences, and for offering us the most precious opportunity to find enlightenment. We’ll return with more significant news on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Refreshing News for a Renewed World.

Chilean company launches plant-based milks in United States.

Food-technology startup NotCo has debuted its vegan NotMilk Whole and 2% Reduced Fat in the US at the Whole Foods Market chain. NotCo used an artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm called Giuseppe to help select which animal-free ingredients could be combined to replicate properties of cow’s milklike taste and consistency. NotMilk is made with pea protein, pineapple and cabbage juice concentrates, virgin coconut oil, chicory root fiber and more. NotCo says creating the beverage uses 92% less water, 74% less energy and produces 74% less CO2 emissions than the process to make cow’s milk. The company will release NotMilk in other retail stores countrywide by 2021. Congratulations, NotCo, on your success and commitment to offering delicious plant-based milk alternatives. We pray that all bovines will soon be free from inhumane suffering as the world switches to vegan alternatives, in Celestial peace.

Greece passes law to protect animals.

Greece’s parliament unanimously approved legislation that will sentence animal abusers from one to ten years in prison depending on the crime’s nature. They will also be fined between €5,000 and €15,000. The nation’s Rural Development and Food Minister, His Excellency Makis Voridis, stated that the law is “a strong message sent by parliament to society… Society can no longer accept such acts.” He also met with animal rights activist Panagiotis Milas, who has been helping to create a section within a local police department to handle animal cruelty. Our appreciation, Greek parliament, Your Excellency Makis Voridis and Panagiotis Milas, for being strong voices for the kind animals and helping better ensure their safety in the future. We pray that all governments and people protect our dear animal co-inhabitants, as we cherish their loving companionship, in Divine wisdom.

Laughter is one of the best things that you can do for yourself and others. Let’s enjoy a good joke entitled “With a Smile.”

Tina was in the middle of a not very smooth conversation with the tax collector about the amount she owed…

“It is your duty, madam, as a citizen, to pay taxes, and we expect you to pay them with a smile!”

“Wonderful! I thought you expected me to pay them with money!”

And now we have a heartline from Afarin in Iran:

My Dear Master, On the dark night of my life, You were the brightest star that brought me light and brightness. You taught me how to live life and contact the Divine, also to respect animals, and have the best diet. You sacrificed the wealth of Your spiritual merits to present the treasure of Your presence to us, the inhabitants of the Earth, through multiple lectures.  The Highest Master, I humbly kiss the hands that so generously spread love and kindness throughout the Universe. I bow before the Shoulders, which so strongly and firmly bear the heavy burden of the karma of disciples and the earthlings. I thank all of the sisters and brothers who help You in Your mission in whatever way they can. I thank the kind Supreme Master TV team and the translators who connect You and disciples worldwide through their great work and subtitles. May they enjoy the blessings of Heaven forever. Dearest Master, I wish You good health and peace, and I wish that Your dreams for Mother Earth, a “vegan world,” freedom of animals and the spiritual upliftment of human beings, come true. Your humble disciple, Afarin from Iran

Shining Afarin, We thank you for your kind wishes.

Master has a reply for you: “Endearing Afarin, the Supreme Master TV team (including myself) also thanks you for being so enlightened, thus helping to uplift our world. My love travels with you even in your darkest of times. May you know much joy and peace within through your meditation and from the love you share with the animals. May Allah bless the fine Iranian people with good health and fortune, and eternal harmony. Much Love.”

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline

Thank you for your company on Noteworthy News. May Heavenly love and light continue to shine on all beings.
