Today, we continue our interview with Bill Tara, as he explains how food distribution networks and agricultural policies are fueling crises around the world. “The food that we eat in the West is one of the biggest contributors to global warming, and yet we’re only like 25% of the population. And the impact of what we’re doing is really destroying the food systems in the other parts of the world. And so, we have to really figure out how to heal that.”

Mr. Tara discusses holistic food choices for the mind, body, and soul. “We always recommend that people learn how to meditate, learn how to calm themselves down. Any kind of soul work that you do is going to be promoted and enabled by eating a really clean diet. It is a clean diet because when you’re filling yourself with the energy of animals that have been killed, murdered, or abused, that’s what you’re taking in – you’re taking that energy into your body, and so that kind of clogs you up. It’s the cholesterol of the psyche.”

Mr. Tara explains how macrobiotic veganism enhances strength and immunity during the COVID pandemic. “What the science tells us is that the gut biome is this community of microorganisms that live within us. That microscopic community has preferences. It’s a measurable phenomenon. The preferences of those microorganisms are a plant diet. Those microorganisms don’t respond well to having a lot of meat and animal fats. Most of our immune response is developed within the intestinal tract. This is the proving ground for the immune system. Particularly in the case of a virus, because a virus just invades cells and multiplies like that if there’s no immune control over it.”

Mr. Tara has a wish for the government and humanity. “One of the biggest things that governments could do is to stop subsidizing all food industry. If they stop subsidizing the dairy industry and the meat industry, people wouldn’t be able to afford buying meat, and they wouldn't be able to afford buying milk. Of course, politically, probably the best thing people can do is try to find candidates that support a rehaul of the food system that support environmentally friendly things. I would wish that people would stop eating animals and stop harmful actions. Start respecting the nature itself.”
