A Useful Tip from Supreme Master Ching Hai to Wash Foods on the Road

I have a food safety tip today from Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai: “If you are traveling on the road and you don’t have any kind of fruit washing liquid or salt or vinegar solution even, and if you happen to be hungry and want to eat some fruit – you can buy them and try to rub and wash them quickly with hand soap, which is available everywhere, in any gas station bathroom, for example. And rinse it well under warm water – as warm as it gets without burning you. Wash one end and then wash the other end, so that you don’t have to put your hands in the hot water. You also can put them in a plastic bag and rinse with the hot water in it. Rinse them quickly and drain the water out quickly, and then wipe them dry, if you can, with tissues or a paper towel or your clean clothes, your clean shirt. In that way, at least you have some hygienic protection. Take care of yourself. God loves you kids.”
