We thank you, these gentlemen here, for their unconditional kindness in helping their fellow human beings in time of need. Whenever any war breaks out, it could be any of us who will become a refugee. Imagine if it’s us who are one of the boat people. Imagine if we had to go through all the suffering, all the hardship that they had to endure being just a bystander of the war, being just an innocent citizen of the world.

The “Thank You Ceremony” today serves also as a symbol of gratitude to all noble nations, including Taiwan (Formosa), because Taiwan (Formosa) also housed the Aulacese (Vietnamese) refugees in the beginning. Please (applaud). Thank you. Welcome. Taiwan (Formosa), Thailand, Hong Kong, United States, Canada, all the European countries, etc., etc., we thank them all. And we also thank groups of people or individuals who are so noble, who opened their hearts and opened their homes to welcome, to care for the desperate victims of war. In the whole world, we thank them all, wherever they are.

We thank them on behalf of not only the Aulacese (Vietnamese) refugees, but all the refugees in the world. We thank them all for their exceptional charity, generosity, noble unconditional love. We thank them all from the very heart of our hearts. We thank them for healing the wounds of the war and for returning the dignity to the people who deserve it. May their touching and beautiful deeds brighten the dark corners of the world, brighten the dark corners of human history, and brighten the dark corners of humans’ lives. And we do hope one day, this kind of corner no longer exists, only Brightness, only Peace, only Love.

We do hope that one day we only know about “Peace,” and the word “war” will be forever forgotten in the dictionary of humankind. We do hope that one day, there is not even a single frontier left between nations, but we all will become brothers and sisters in the big global family. We thank them again. We thank you. We thank you.

And we do wish that their beautiful, enlightened, compassionate actions will shine through human history and through eternity. May Peace, Love, and Compassion prevail in our hearts and on this beautiful planet. We thank God Almighty. We thank Heaven above. And we thank you all again and again. We love you.
