Ms. Jayne has fondly been called “The Queen of Fun” and “As Crazy as Coconuts.” These terms speak to her ability to engage the students and pique their interest in subjects as diverse as going green for the environment, looking after pets, healthy eating, outer space, and more. “And also for example, the Go Green show where I talk about no plastic, children go home and communicate important messages like this to their parents. So, it definitely works. And I’ve had a lot of feedback from teachers and parents, from their children reiterating what they learned from the show.” Ms. Jayne plays various instruments, including the ukulele, banjo, guitar, and mandolin. Many of these instruments can be heard on her album called “Purple Boots,” which also features a rap song. “Put your hands in the air if you want to go green, put your hands in the air if you want to help clean. This world is for us to love and cherish; we don’t want to live in rubbish.” “You have to give people ideas of how to do that. So that’s definitely what I do in the Go Green show. We try and reduce what we use. We eat organic fruits and veggies.”

“This is my book, ‘Myrtle’s Magical Medicine.’ It’s about Myrtle. She has a problem. She laughs like an elephant.” Ms. Jayne tells the story on YouTube in a very animated manner. “So, she goes to get help. And she learns about her uniqueness and how great it is to be unique.” “Well, the way I developed the characters is Myrtle was me. The magical medicine is self-affirmations ‒ looking in the mirror and saying your name, and saying, ‘I love you. You are perfect, just the way you are.’” “And being vegan, I just feel strong and happy. I love being able to lift all my heavy things. I’m grateful that my body can do it. And it makes me so happy to be vegan, and everybody should do it.”
