A Tip to Relieve Computer Vision Syndrome: Eye Yoga Exercises

Today, I would like to share a health tip with you. If you stare at the screen on your computer, mobile phone, or TV for too long, you may develop computer vision syndrome. Symptoms include dry eyes, irritated eyes, blurred vision, headaches, and double vision. You can relieve these symptoms by performing eye yoga exercises consisting of looking up and down and then side to side. A good exercise is also palming where you warm up your palms and then use them to gently cover your closed eyes. All these will help enhance flexibility in your ocular muscles and will lead to increased focus. Blinking, rolling your eyes, or doing the cross-eyed gaze will also assist in alleviating the symptoms. Rolling your eyes helps decrease tension and soreness in the muscles surrounding the eyes.

Perform these three to five times in a row each hour to help get rid of eye strain. Blinking will increase tear production, thus improving eye moisture and assisting in relieving soreness and burning in your eyes. With how much we are using our screens these days, maintaining our eye health is very important!
